“In Gam-Anon, I found people who truly understood my experiences.”
You are not alone.

Attending Gam-Anon was the best thing I ever did. No matter how bad life with your Compulsive Gambler may seem, Gam-Anon can and does help. We know how it is – we’ve been there, seen it, done it and come out the other side...
Gam-Anon is a fellowship of men and women who are husbands, wives, partners, relatives or close friends of someone with a gambling problem who also have been affected by this gambling problem. If you are seeking a solution to living with this problem, we would like you to feel that we understand, as perhaps few can. We too are familiar with worry, sleepless nights and promises made only to be broken. Our thinking had become confused and unreasonable.
Gam-Anon can offer you a new way of life.
The Purposes of Gam-Anon
- To welcome and give assistance and comfort to those affected by someone else’s gambling problem.
- To communicate Gam-Anon’s understanding of compulsive gambling and its impact on our lives.
- To share our experience, strength, and hope in coping with the gambling problem.
- To use the Steps and Tools of the Gam-Anon programme which nurture our spiritual and emotional growth and recovery.
Gam-Anon meetings are usually held on the same nights as G.A. meetings but in separate rooms. The two fellowships do not share experiences or information about each other.
